How to create a basic Web site on Ubuntu using Apache2

This is a basic guide to get your started with setting up a web page.

1.Install Apache2

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apache2
sudo service apache2 start

Test on port 80 or 443

http://your_server_iP or http://your_domain_name

Step2. Install the Ajenti Control Panel

wget http://repo.ajenti.org/debian/key -O- | sudo apt-key add -
echo "deb http://repo.ajenti.org/ng/debian main main ubuntu" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install ajenti
sudo service ajenti restart

Test on port 8000

http://your_server_iP:8000 or http://your_domain_name:8000

3. Download and unzip your chosen boostrap theme

Step4. Create a new folder called “home” and place the unzipped files in this folder as follows:

5. Place the home file in the following directory on your Ubuntu server /var/www/html/ – so that it looks like

6. Access your webpage

http://your_server_iP/home or http://your_domain_name/home

Step7. Use AjentiV to edit the html file called index in directory /var/www/html/home
